Election Officer Application

(THIS IS NOT AN APPLICATION FOR SANTA CLARA COUNTY EMPLOYEES OR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS)
 
Election Officers are required to staff their vote center from 7:00 a.m. through approximately 9:00 p.m. on Election Day. You will be given two meal breaks during the day. If you do not serve on Election Day, you will not receive the training stipend.  To serve as an Election Officer you must be a citizen and registered voter of the State of California or a legal permanent resident.  If not registered to vote, you will be required to register.

I have served as an Election Officer in Santa Clara County
I have my own transportation.
I am willing to work in a precinct away from my neighborhood.
I am fluent in English.

I understand that I am required to attend a training class prior to each election.
I am able to lift 30 lbs. (note: all lifting is to be done by two people)

When you take this commitment, please keep in mind the serious nature of your promise. Your service ensures that your community can exercise their constitutional right to vote.

STIPEND AMOUNT FOR ELECTION OFFICER

Training $20 One time
Early Voting Day $90 per day 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Election Day $115 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Bilingual $10 Per working day
