Opening Delayed for One San Jose Vote Center

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CALIF – The Registrar of Voters’ Office will postpone the opening of one of its Vote Centers in the Northside area of San Jose. The Vote Center was scheduled to open on Saturday, November 5, but will be delayed until Monday, November 7 due to a scheduling conflict.

The vote center is located at the Holy Cross Church at 580 Jackson St. in San Jose. It is one of 78 locations scheduled to open Saturday for the November 8, 2022 General Election. An additional 25 locations opened last week on Saturday, October 29.

“Under the Voter’s Choice Act, we are required to have at least one Vote Center per 10,000 registered voters. We usually overbook Vote Center locations for situations just like this,” said Paulo Chang, Manager of Precinct Operations. “Currently we are 2 sites over our legally required number and those additional sites are both 11-day Vote Centers.”
