Voting Accessibility Advisory Committee (VAAC)

The Voting Accessibility Advisory Committee (VAAC) is a panel of community members who will provide input to the Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters on how the Voter’s Choice Act* model can better serve senior voters and those with disabilities.

The mission of the Santa Clara County Voting Accessibility Advisory Committee (VAAC) is to provide input and recommendations to the Registrar of Voters to enhance inclusive and accessible voting for seniors and voters with disabilities.

Members will provide feedback on the new Vote Center locations that will replace traditional polling places beginning with the 2020 Presidential Primary Election. Input is sought on the features and services at the facilities and ideal locations.

Interested parties with experience working or volunteering with accessibility advocacy groups are encouraged to apply. There will be a selection process after applications are received. Members will be requested to attend regular meetings.

Community members who are interested in serving on the VAAC can apply by completing the online VAAC application form. Community members can also download the paper VAAC application and submit to [email protected]
