Registrar of Voters Announces Upcoming FPPC Workshops for Public Officials

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CALIF The County of Santa Clara Registrar of Voters announced today that it is hosting two Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) training events to help public officials comply with their obligations under the Political Reform Act.

These interactive training opportunities will provide the necessary tools to ensure transparency in campaign finance reporting and conflict of interest disclosure. The two-hour workshops will be held virtually using the Zoom application and are open to the public.

Workshop Dates and Times:

  • Candidate and Treasurer – January 31, 2022
    1:00 PM to 3:00 PM

    A training event to provide general information on candidate, political treasurer and committee duties. Topics include initial campaign activities, contributions and expenditures, reporting, advertising disclaimers, and post-election tasks.
  • SEI Interest Filers (Form 700) – February 3, 2022

    A training event to provide general information for public officials and designated employees who must file a Form 700. A detailed overview of how to complete each schedule of the Form 700 will be provided.
